64th National School Games for Fencing 2018 : Manipur continue to lead with 6 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze

Imphal, November 15 2018:
Manipur added 3 gold and 1 bronze on the third day to remain on top of the medal tally with 6 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze medals closely followed by Punjab with 4 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze of the ongoing 64th National School Games for Fencing 2018 for under-14 and 17 boys and girls organized by Department of Youth Affairs and Sports under the aegis of School Games Federation of India at Indoor Stadium Khuman Lampak.
A total of 730 athletes from 19 units are taking part in the competition which is underway since November 13 .
Under-14 Girl's Foil team event:
Manipur team comprising Sonia, Valentina, Deviya Rani and Debita won the gold medal while the team from Chandigarh comprising Ekam, Ira, Mahira and Himani took the silver medal.
The team from Delhi - Vaapi, Charvi, Khanak, Ojaswani and Tamil Nadu - Preethi Varshini M, Sumaia H, Jenisha NV collected the bronze medal.
Under-17 Boys's EPEE team event:
Ningombam Amarjit, Oinam Poireinganba, Daniel N, Soibam Bronson of Manipur clinched the gold medal while Ankit Sharma, Bhavy Sharma, Sayad and Jitendra Singh secured the silver medal.
Team from Gurjarat comprising Harshvardhan Singh, Ajay Singh, Karan Bhai, Chatrapal Singh and Chandigarh - Inderpratap, Rishuraj, Pardeep Kumar and Sukhmeet Singh finished with the bronze medal.
Under-17 Girl's EPEE Individual event:
Anoushka of Punjab clinched the gold while Pragya Singh of Madhya Pradesh bagged the silver and AS Raskmika of Tamil Nadu and Anjali of Madhya Pradesh collected the bronze medal.
Under-17 Boy's FOIL Individual event:
Jai Khandelwal of Maharashtra secured the gold while Ajay Singh of Gujarat settled with silver, S Kevin of Tamil Nadu and O Demish of Manipur contended with bronze medal.
Under-17 Boy's SABRE Individual event:
Abhay Krishna Sindhe of Maharashtra grabbed the gold medal, Mayank of Jammu & Kashmir took the silver and Gitanji of IPSC and Aryan of Haryana finished with bronze medal.
Under-14 Boys's EPEE Individual event:
A Thomba of Manipur bagged the gold medal while Sufian of Jammu & Kashmir collected the silver, Agamveer of Punjab and Rohit of Chandigarh gathered the bronze medal.
