TRUGPU down TRAU 3-1, lift CC Meet crown

Tiddim Road Unique Gammy Players' Union (TRUGPU), Nambol registered an easy 3-1 win against Tiddim Road Athletic Union (TRAU), Kwakeithel to emerge champions of the 8th Sir Churachand Singh KCSI, CBE Memorial Football Tournament, organised by All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium, Imphal.
The closing ceremony was graced by Chief Minister O Ibobi and Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Th Lokeshwar as funtional chief guest and president respectively.
Kakching A/C MLA Y Surchandra, Manipur Government Consultant RK Nimai, Babina Health Care and Hospitality Pvt Ltd Managing Director Th Dhaballi also attended as guests of honour.

NEROCA's Kh Satish Singh won the men's footballer of the year trophy and a cash prize of Rs 15,000 was awarded to him while the women's footballer of the year title along with a cash prize of Rs 10,000 was awarded to O Bembem Devi of MPSC.
The fair play trophy of the tournament went to Zomi Football Club (ZFC), Churachand- pur along with a cash prize of Rs 5000 .
Y Suraj Singh of TRUGPU claimed the best goal keeper title along with a cash prize of Rs 5000.The best player title of the tournament went to TRUGPU's Kh Jackey along with a cash prize of Rs 5000 .
MPSC's Th Kiran (5 goals) got the top scorer title of the tournament along with a cash prize of Rs 5000 .
Today's man of the match title went to TRUGPU's Y Inao Singh along with a cash prize of Rs 5000.Coach of the year, 2014 went to USA's T Ibomcha Singh along with a cash prize of Rs 5000 .
TRAU's A Herojit Singh clinched the best defender title of the tournament along with a cash prize of Rs 5000 .
Today's best striker and best mid-fielder went to TRUGPU's L Sanatomba Singh and TRAU's L Bikram respectively along with a cash prize of Rs 5000 each.
I Rabichandra Singh was named the best referee of the tournament and a cash prize of Rs 5000 was awarded to him.
TRUGPU's Ch Anandkumar was given the best young player title of the tournament along with a cash prize of Rs 5000 .
A cash award of Rs 2 lakh along with the champions trophy was awarded to TRUGPU while a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and a runners up trophy were awarded to TRAU.
In today's final, TRUGPU opened its account in the first half injury time after Y Inao struck a powerfull header which beat the TRAU custodian.
After the interval, TRUGPU's L Sanaton and Kh Jackey slammed in one goal each in the 75th minute and in the last minute of the second half injury time to make the final scoreline 3-1 against a hapless TRAU.
TRAU's only goal was scored by L Bikram in the 87th minute.
TRUGPU's captain L Ratan was sent off in the 84th minute.
Th Chingkhomba and Y Inao of TRUGPU and TRAU's Wongramchan PS and A Herojit were cautioned during the match.
