Thoubal District 1-20 Cricket Tournament : Al-Ameen to lock horns with WYC in summit clash

Al-Ameen, Lilong Chajing will lock horns with WYC, Wangkhem in the final of the Thoubal District T-20 Cricket Tournament 2018 being organised by Thoubal District Cricket Association at Luwangsangbam Cricket Stadium, Luwangpokpa tomorrow.
Al-Ameen today thrashed CAL, Lilong Masjid Road by 100 runs to top the league table and seal the final berth while WYC, Wangkhem finished second by registering their second win of the tournament against LCIC, Mairen Khun in another league match played earlier.
In the first match of the day, WYC rode on Samungou and Mangi to secure a 119 run victory.
Electing to bat first, WYC posted a huge target of 165 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.
Samungou scored an outstanding 53 runs in 53 balls before Mangi struck 52 runs in 36 balls.
Herokumar then make it 164 runs with his contribution of 23 runs in 13 balls.
LCIC's Mistry Talibur and Mirsha picked up two wickets each in this innings while Hefajudin claimed one wicket.
In reply, Tomba and Baboy scored 14 runs and 10 runs each before the second innings ended with a paltry 45 runs for LCIC in 11.1 overs losing all the wickets.
Maka of WYC led the dismantling of LCIC's batting line up finishing with 4 wickets in 4 overs while Rameshore and James claimed 3 wickets and 2 wickets each.
Maka Singh of WYC was adjudged man of the match.
In the last league match of the tournament, Al-Ameen who won the toss and opted to bat first to stack up an impressive 193 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 3 wickets to thrash CAL by 100 runs.
Samir produced an outstanding batting performance knocking of an unbeaten 69 runs off 40 balls while Sahdad aided him with another 56 runs from 31 balls he faced.
Safwan also contributed 19 runs in posting a target of 194 runs in the first innings.
Amir, Rajak and Karim of CAL claimed one wicket each in this innings.
CAL went all out in 17.4 overs scoring 93 runs as bowlers of dominant Al-Ameen caused havoc to their batting order.
Amir hit the highest of 25 runs while Mukesh and Shah added 14 and 13 runs respectively.
Noushad, Mustaq and Anish of Al-Ameen took 2 wickets each in this innings while Sahdad, Habibullah and Safwan claimed one wicket each to hand their team a 100 run victory and a place in the final.
Sahdad who claimed 1 wicket and contributed 56 runs for Al-Ameen was named man of the match.
The final match of the tournament scheduled at 1 pm will be graced by Lt Col Mohd Sahid Khan, Md Sadiqur Rahman, Asst Professor Economics, Alhaj Mohd Hassan, treasurer, LSA and Md Anwar Hussain as distinguished guests.
