4th MCA Plate Tournament : Model Club to meet Al-Ameen in final showdown

Model Club, Chingamakha enjoyed a 9 wicket victory in the first semifinal clash against PCC, Mayaikoibi while Al-Ameen, Lilong secured a narrow 1 wicket victory over PSC, Khuyathong in the last semi-final match of the ongoing 4th MCA Plate Tournament 2018 today.
In the first semi-final match held at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangsangbam, Mangi and Abhishek led the bowling and batting front respectively to help Model Club storm into final with a 9 wicket victory.
PCC who won the toss and elected to bat first posted a paltry 99 runs for all wickets down in 30.4 overs.
Ranjan made a slow start making 44 runs in 59 balls while the remaining orders fell into the clutches of Model Club bowlers to leave the crease registering single digit scores.
Mangi gave the man of the match performance in this innings taking down four crucial wickets in 5 overs he bowled while Bishworjit and Tejkumar aided their team in restricting the Mayaikoibi side to just 99 by scalping two wickets each.
Iboyaima and Biteshwor also claimed one wicket each in this entertaining innings.
The chase proved butter smooth to Model Club as they crossed the target in just 9.5 overs for the loss of 1 wicket.
Abishek took off the chase brilliantly blazing a quick 27-ball 53 runs while Karnajit followed his footstep to blast off 35 runs before he went out in the 20th delivery.
Hrithik then added 9 runs to give his team the final berth.
Ajay of PCC picked up the single wicket of the innings.
Elsewhere, Al-Ameen were able to seal a 1 wicket victory in a keenly contested semi-final match at Langthabal Public Ground against PSC, Khuyathong.
Opting to bat first, PSC managed to gather only a meagre 130 runs for 9 in the first innings (35 overs) which was chased down by Al-Ameen in 29.2 overs with one wicket in the hand.
Sourabh who opened up for PSC hit the highest of 34 runs in 39 balls while Prashantajit added another 14 runs in 18 balls.
Prakash Jaiswal and Bungoraj then took charge of the game for a while both registering 12 runs in their names while Michael added 8 runs facing 20 balls to set the target of 131 runs.
It was Sameer of Al-Ameen who bowled sensibly and enjoyed a four wicket haul giving a tough time to the Khoyathong side batsmen.
Rashid also picked two wickets in 7 overs while Nadim Akram took one wicket.
After going througha disastrous innings, the bowlers of PSC wreaked havoc through the batting line up of Al-Ameen.
However, the last wicket partnership of the Lilong side led by Nasir clawed back to clinch a narrow 1 wicket victory with a four in the second ball of the last over.
The chase went almost similar to the first innings with Nawaz Sharif emerging as the highest run getter for Al-Ameen scoring 24 in 25 balls while his partner Nasir remained not out with 15 runs off 34 balls.
Abdullah and Bashid also registered 12 runs respectively before Safwan finished off the game adding 8 runs.
Martin of PSC dismissed 3 wickets in this innings while Prasanta picked up 2 wickets.
Kala, Rakesh and Bungoraj also claimed one wickets each.
