State Sub-Jr Handball Tournament : YLK, BBA cruise to third straight wins in boys' competition

Imphal, December 24 2021:
Hosts YLK, Chingarel Tejpur and BBA, Mayang Imphal cruise to third successive wins in the boys competition of the ongoing 44th Sub-Junior State Level Handball Tournament.
YLK, who demolished IMC, Thoubal Leishangthem 26-5 crushed OYC, Thoubal Okram 23-6 in yesterday's matches, sealed their third win beating Citizen Club, Soibam Leikai by 10-2 goals today.
L Hemba and A Bipinchandra scored three goals each for the hosts as Krinibash added twice and Y Chinglensana and Ng Krishnakanta scored a goal apiece.
H Alex and Th Saphaba were the scorers for Citizen Club.
Meanwhile, BBA who trounced Citizen Club by 16-3 goals yesterday extended their winning run to three with a comprehensive 24-8 win over OYC and 12-2 win over IMC today.
A Premson top scored with 8 goals in his name while L Naresh followed suit with 7 goals in the 24-8 demolition of OYC.
Sh Rashikanta and A Yaikhomba to contributed 3 goals each for the team in this one sided match asn A Manichandra and L Jamesbond added 2 and 1 goal respectively.
For OYC, O Bikash scored 4 goals as O Avinash scored 2 goals and Bikash Okram and O Kingson managed a goal each.
In their 12-2 win over IMC, A Manichandra managed 5 goals and A Premson scored thrice.
L Norman too found the target twice for BBA while A Yaikhomba and L Jamesbond scored a goal each.
Suresh, in the meantime, scored both the goals for IMC.
Earlier, in the first match of the day for boys, Citizen Club beat IMC 13-9 thanks to Th 6 goals by Th Saphababa, 3 by Y Rozer, 2 by I Kenedy and a goal each from N Henish and H Alex.
W Suresh (3), L Surjakanta (2), L Bishaal (2), Y Tolheiba (1) and Y Landalan (1) were on the other hand scored for IMC.
Elsewhere, YLK girls also registered their second win in the three-team double league competition beating IMC 6-0 today to remain on top of the table.
N Xeepa scored twice in this match for YLK as Th Anjali, L Nomika, S Chanbi and N Bijaya scored a goal each.
