Imphal, September 19 2016:
The Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO), Imphal Branch has expressed concern over the alleged furore created by fans who also engaged in hooliganism in the ongoing Manipur State League (MSL) on September 14 at Mapal Kangjeibung during a match between FC Zalen and NEROCA FC.
In this connection the KSO Imphal Branch had instructed all the fans through a local vernacular daily to maintain dis cipline during matches and urged them to refrain from hooliganism in future.
Since the unruly fans were responsible for the incident, KSO-Imphal prayed and hoped that FC Zalen is exempted from any disciplinary action which could affect their partici pation in the league.
"We also would like to suggest to AMFA that all future matches of FC Zalen be held at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium to accommodate all the fans.
This, we hope, could avoid any possible outbreak of disturbances caused by con gestion and limited seating arrangement.
"We are also prepared to render voluntary service to AMFA in controlling the fans in all the future matches of FC Zalen if AMFA wishes so," said a statement issued by Khaiminlen Doungel, general secretary, KSO, Imphal.
