Imphal West District Shooting Competition 2018 : Imphal West Dist Rifle Assn set sight on team champions title

Imphal West District Rifle Association are setting their sight on team champions title of the 9th Imphal West District Shooting Competition 2018 collecting a total of 7 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze medals so far.
The competition which is currently underway since May 17 at Khuman Lampak Shooting Range under the aegis of Imphal West District Rifle Association is being participated by 31 male and 21 female shooter in as many as 37 different events.
0.177 Peep Sight Air Rifle Devison Khumbongma-yum of Imphal West smashed the previous 308 points district record set by Smith Achom last year in the 10 m 0.177 Peep Sight Air Rifle championship for junior men novices individual scoring a total of 331 points while Thelpomshang Khaling of IW claimed the second spot scoring 265 points.
RK Mamta of BSISC claimed women's individual 10 m 0.177 Peep Sight Air Rifle title with a total 373 points (400 total) Veronica Angom of BSISC shot 363 points to win the second spot while Stacy Leitanthem of the same unit finished third with 357 points.
RK Mamta however finished second in the junior women's individual 10 m 0.177 Peep Sight Air Rifle falling behind S Tulky of Imphal West who scored 379 points.
Veronica Angom who finished in the women's individual 10 m 0.177 Peep Sight Air Rifle competition with a total score of 363 was third in the junior women event.
10 m Air Pistol Championships .
Kunny Tonambam of IW bagged the men's individual 10 m Air Pistol Championship title with a total score of 372 (400 total) points while Victor Naorem claimed the second spot with 366 points.
Ajay Singh sealed the third place with 363 points in his name.
In the women's individual championship, Greendland Wangjam of BSISC secured 350 points to win the title while I Reema of Imphal West claimed the second spot with 337 points.
Salam Premila of Imphal West scored a lowly 236 points to finish third.
Greendland also claimed the sub-junior title breaking G Kabita's record of 324 points set in 2013.Meenashree Ksh (IW) and Arina L of BSISC scored 253 and 236 points respectively to finish second and third.
Greendland also bagged the junior women's 10 m Air Pistol championship title with the same score while G Jensina of IW (336 points) and P Sophiya of IW (329 points) finished second and third.
In the sub-junior men individual 10 m Air Pistol Championship, Dusarat Ksh fetch the gold with a total core of 343 points while Andrew Telheiba Leitanthem and Loyumba Leitanthem scored 336 and 316 points respectively to claim the second and the third spot.
In the men novices individual 10 m Air Pistol Championship, I Prasanta Singh scored 325 points to fetch the title while L Kiran settled for second place with a score of 268 points.
25 m Standard Pistol Championship .
Kunyson Tonambam was able to break the junior men's 25 m Standard Pistol Championship record fetching a total of 219 points (total 300) breaking previous record set by Jupiter Ashem in 2015 with 204 points.
Andrew Telheiba Leitanthem of BSISC scored 212 points to finished second in the championship while Kongbrailatpam Asish Sharma scored 178 points to finish third.
