Paradise English School fetes four players from Thoubal

Imphal, October 17 2017:
Paradise English School, Thoubal Okram today feted four players, Amarjit Singh Kiyam, Jeakson Thounaojam, Jenikchan Thounaojam and O Rishikanta at the school campus .
Amarjit Kiyam, captain of the U-17 Indian team, Thounaojam Jeakson the only goal scorer of the U-17 Indian team, Jenikchan, brother of Jeakson Thounaojam, O Rishikanta who brought home gold medal in the National Sub-junior, Junior and Senior Jeet-kune-do Championship held at Bhairab Gangully College Indoor Stadium from September 8 to 10 in 59 Kg category and their family members were accorded a warm welcome by N Ranjit, Principal cum founder, L Achou, president of the school, teaching and non teaching staffs along with the students.
They encouraged the four players who happen to be their former students and wished them luck in the future and to bring more laurels to the State and the Nation as successful players .
Accepting the simple gifts presented by the organiser, Amarjit said that one should focus on the thing one likes regardless of the economic conditions of the family and work hard untill success is achieved.
He said, “We should be happy with what we have and follow our dream passionately with discipline in order to be successful.”
Thounaojam Jeakson also said, that full dedication is required to become a successful player.
“Like study, football players consider every practise and work out as study and whole hearted dedication always pay off,” he said .
At another occasion, Indian U-17 stars Amarjit Singh Kiyam and Jeakson Thounaojam were felicitated at their childhood school, Asem Gojendro Memorial English School, Haokha Mamang .
The program was graced by Donor Asem Keshokumar, Adminitrator Dr Ak Ashakumar Singh and Headmaster Nongthombam Shyam as president, chief guest and quest of honour respectively .
They expressed pride and joy with the achivements of Amarjit and Jeakson and wished them in all their future endeavours .
An interaction programme was also held at the school premises, said a press release issued by the school.
