2nd Heibok T-20 Cricket : FORCE, KEYS post convincing wins

FORCE, Kshetrigao notch up an emphatic 6 wicket win against SSU, Singjamei to book last 8 round berth of the ongoing 2nd Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament organised by Langthabal Sporting Club at Langthabal Public Ground.
REYS, Nagamapal also made it to the last 8 round as they secured their third win at the tournament beating MVCA by 45 runs in a Group B league match.
The group A league match between FORCE and SSU, Singjamei saw the latter team opted to bat first after winning the toss and post a total of 96 runs for 7 in 20 overs.
Rabi top-scored with 19 runs off 9 balls in his name and remained not out while Rakeshwor was able to add up 18 runs from 29 ball's in this innings.
Arsad of FORCE produced a brilliant bowling performance to dismiss 3 while Khurshid and Kasim picked up one wicket each.
In reply, FORCE lost only 4 wickets and took only 12 overs to reach the target as Shubauddin (16) and Jali (14) made a concerted effort before Kasim (7 not out) steered the team a comfortable 6 wicket win.
Rakeshwor of SSU took 3 wickets in 3 overs of this innings but his effort went in vain as the target set by his team proved too small for the Kshetrigao side.
Arsad of FORCE was adjudged man of the match.
Elsewhere in the Group B clash, REYS won the toss , and chose to bat first.
With Jayenta hitting a half century (67 in 53 balls), REYS were able to set a huge target of 151 runs for 5 in 20 overs.
Guniram and Ajit (not out) also contributed 20 runs each in this innings.
Bhogen of MVCA enjoyed a 4 wicket haul in this innings while Sashi took the other wicket before their team were restricted to 106 for 9 in the chase.
Krishna (17), Bhogen (16) and Rohendro (13) were the significant scorers as the other batsmen returned to the pavilion mainly with single digit scores or no runs.
Jitender Thakur of REYS scalped 3 wickets in 4 overs he bowled besides maintaining a good economy while Jeckychand also did well to claim 2 wickets to stop MVCA far from reaching the target.
Jayenta who gather the highest 67 runs in 53 balls was named man of the match.
BLUE HAWK, Khurai will take on SCCC, Singjamei in a Group C league match tomorrow at 9 am while KJYC, Kshetri Iril Mapal will play ESU, Wangkhei in a Group D league match latter at 12.45 pm .
