AIM, Khabam defeat JSYC at 7th Manipur State League

AIM, Khabam cemented its place at the top of the 7th Manipur State League football tournament with a 3-1 defeat of JSYC, Sadar Hills in their ninth match at Mapal Kangjeibung today.
Goals from K Jolly (20th), K Naoton (65th) and Th Vandona (87th) helped the Khabam side maintain its top position in the points table at 20 points.
For JSYC the loss meant staring at possible relegation from the premier competition as it has only four points so far.
The lone JSYC goal was scored by Helkhohao Vaiphei in the 49th minute.
In another match played at the same venue earlier today, KSC, Lambulane and TRUGPU, Nambol split points following a 1-1 draw.
KSC opened the score in the 44th when Themreisang AS found the mark from a Bonylaino corner kick.
The Nambol side restored parity through Th Modhu-mangol's header in the 63rd minute from an M Robinson cross.
On October 16, ESU will take on NISA at 12.15 pm while SSU clash against NEROCA in the other match at 2.15 pm.
