6th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men's National Championship UPH, MAN, HAR register victories

Uttar Pradesh (UPH), Manipur Hockey (MAN) and Hockey Haryana (HAR) advanced victories after defeating their respective opponents in the ongoing 6th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men's National Championship
(B-Division), organised by the Hockey Manipur under the aegis of Hockey India, today at Hockey Ground, Khuman Lampak, Imphal.
In the Group-A match, Vishal Thakur hit a hat-trick in the 34th, 49th and 69th minute to help Uttar Pradesh Hockey (UPH) seal a comfortable 3-0 victory against a hapless Hockey Odisha (ODI) .
In another Group-A match today, Manipur Hockey (MAN) clinched a comprehensive 8-2 win over Hockey Patialia (HPA) .
A double strike each from Ibungo K (12th, 67th) and Dipu Laisharam (64th, 66th) gave four goals while the other winning goals came through Dinachandra Moirangthem, Jenjen Ningombam and Kinsgon Thokchom in the 17th, 38th and 56th minute respectively.
On the other hand, Gurshadzad Singh and Ranjot Singh found a goal each in the 44th and 65th minute respectively for HPA.
In the Group-B match, Hockey Haryana (HAR) clinched a thrilling 3-2 win against Hockey Punjab (PUN) .
The match began with HAR taking a comfortable 2-0 lead after Roman and Sunny Malik scored a goal each in the 7th and 14th minute respectively.
Minutes later, Karajwinder Singh struck home a double in the 23rd and 24th minute to help PUN level the scoreline 2-2 .
The winning goal for HAR came in the 67th minute after Bhanu Sharma found the net.
