State Polo Tournament: Linthoinganbi Kangjei Lup to meet Chingkheihunba PC in women's final

Linthoinganbi Kanglei Lup will lock horns with Chingkheihunba Polo Club on January 13 for the title of the 15th Women's State Polo Tournament being organised by All Manipur Polo Association at Mapal Kangjeibung.
Lingthoinganbi Kangjei Lup which had enjoyed convincing wins in their earlier fixtures, eased to a 9-0 win against Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club to finish on top of the league table and book the final berth.
Kh Deventy, S Sangita and Kh Habe all shone with three goals each in this one sided encounter.
S Sangita opened up the scoring in the 4th minute of the opening chukker and grabbed another in the 6th minute to make it 3-0 for Linthoinganbi Kangjei Lup as Kh Habe also added a goal in between.
Kh Habe then added the team's fourth in the second chukker to make it 4-0 before Kh Deventy hit twice and S Sangita completed her treble in the third chukker.
The last chukker saw Kh Deventy and Kh Habe chip in a goal each to completed the 9-0 demolition of Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club which hardly found their sticks on the ball today.
Earlier, Chingkheihunba Polo Club (CHPC) sealed an emphatic 16-0 win against Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) to keep their final hope alive.
CHPC's captain Th Tanna produced an exemplary performance as she fetched 8 goals alone besides Neelu RK and I Sangita firing home 4 goals each against the hapless MPSC.
CHPC led the first chukker 3-0 with Neelu RK opening up the account before I Sangita and Th Tanna added a goal each putting MPSC in the backfoot.
CHPC grew stronger in the second chukker as Th Tanna grabbed 3 goals while Neelu and I Sangita added a goal each and made it 8-0 till halfway.
Tanna's scoring spree continued as she grabbed three more goals in the third chukker before adding a goal in the final chukker.
Neelu also scored a goal in the third chukker before completing her haul of 4 goals in the last chukker while I Sangita who missed her chances in the third chukker fired home twice to ensure CHPC decimate MPSC by 16-0 goals.
