O Aimson of BDBA beat W James of MPSC by sets of 2-1 to clinch the Men's Single title of the 35th Inter District Badminton Championships today at Indoor hall, Kakching held under the aegis of Manipur Badminton Association.
O Aimson also registered a straight set win over Mayanglambam Nicky to lift the U-19 Boy's Single title.
At the same time, N Purnima of TDBA pipped Angita Naorem by straight set to claim the Women's Single title.
K Nganba of ESU defeated Jomi Singam by 2-0 sets to claim the U-13 Boy's Single while Vilinda Huidrom beat L Diana Devi by 2-0 sets to clinch the U-13 Girl's Single title.
The final day also saw W James-M Somibala duo (MPSC/TDBA) registering a straight set win over Rk Cinir-Rk Miranda duo (MPSC) to claim the Mixed Double title.
Jomi Singam-Sirzeet Moirangthem pair claimed the U-13 Boy's Double title beating Ch Ritesh-K Nganba pair by straight set.
In the U-17 Boy's Single, Punshiba Yengkhom (TDBA) retired after ceding a point to Bidyasagar Salam (IW).
Ksh Maheshwari (ESU) beat Vilinda Huidrom by straight set to claim U-15 Girl's Single title.
Ksh Maheshwari also registered a straight set win over K Priya of BDBA to lift the U-17 Girl's Single title.
Angita Naorem beat N Purnima by set of 2-1 to claim the U-19 Girl's Single title.
K Dingku-Kh Manjit pair registered a straight set win over N Nandaraj-N Hitler pair to claim U-17 Boy's Double title.
K Dingku-Kh Manjit pair also registered a straight set win over H Sushilkumar-Kelvin Pheiroijam pair to lift the U-19 Boy's Double title.
Bidyasagar Salam-Punshiba Yengkhom duo beat Konsam Sandeep-Talentsana RK pair by straight set to claim the U-15 Boy's Double title.
RK Cinir-W James pair also wrapped up the day beating K Dingku-Kh Manjit pair by straight set to lift the Men's Double title.
The closing ceremony was attended by MLA Md Fazur Rahim; M Inakhunbi Devi, Chairperson, Kakching MC; H Ghyaneshwar Singh, senior VP, MBA and PS Devi, Councillor, Ward No 4 Kakching as the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
