Triangular cricket series ; Manipur beat Arunachal Pradesh by 123 runs

Manipur won their first match of the triangular cricket series against Arunachal Pradesh in the second day of the series hosted by Nagaland Cricket Association at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Dimapur .
Manipur won the toss and elected to bat first.
In the 45 over match, Manipur posted a target of 227 runs against Arunachal Pradesh.
Chiranjivi faced 126 balls and scored 81 runs with five 4’s followed by Samarat who was caught by Bagra at 59.Samarat smashed seven boundaries for Manipur.
Karnajit also hit 7 boundaries in 55 balls but was bowled out by Hitesh at 46 runs.
Kasim who went into the field with Karnajit as openers was dismissed with LBW at 1 .
At 30 overs it was only 136 runs but the last 15 overs saw massive strike by Manipur as they managed to add 90 runs making a total of 226 runs.
All-rounder Chiranjivi, who came as third batsman stood well till the last over with last man Mangi .
Mohit of Arunachal Pradesh took 4 wickets against Manipur while Hitesh managed to haul 3 wickets .
Arunachal Pradesh wickets fell in quick succession and their efforts to reach the target score were shattered to pieces as Bidash, Biswajit and Chiranjivi claimed 3 wickets each.
They managed to score just 103 runs at the end of 31 overs, leaving the chase at halfway .
