Lamlai Andro Kendra Soccer BSU-A edge out ONYC 3-2 to sail into semi-final

BSU-A, Nongpok Kakching staged a stunning comeback to edge out ONYC, Oksu Ningthemchakhul 3-2 in the first quarter final of the ongoing 6th Lamlai Andro Kendra Village Wise Football Tournament 2019 organised by Bright Star Union, Nongpok Kakching at Ibudhou Khamlangba ground.
BSU took off the game on a bright note dominating the ball and enjoyed a 2-0 lead but ONYC made spirited comeback to come on level terms before BSU once again took over the game and clinched a 3-2 win to book the semi-final berth.
Ch Lemba put BSU ahead in the 12th minute and his team mate Y Govin took only one minute to double their lead.
ONYC which were struggling in the earlier part gradually seize control of the game after BSU took off the pedal after the two goal lead and it was in the 25th minute that Y Nanaocha pulled back a goal before M Nongsaba drew level two minutes latter.
Surprise by the equaliser, BSU were forced to come out of their half while keeping their citadel intact and their efforts paid off in the 41st minute as Ch Daya helped them regain the lead with a fine stroke.
ONYC almost looked to draw level but BSU defence stood firm to deny further goals rendering the game to end 3-2 in their favour.
Earlier in the pre-quarter final clashes, OFA, Pungdongbam thrashed MYC, Moirangpurel by 8-2 goals while ASSA, Sanjenbam downed FC Lamlai by 4-2 goals to complete the quarter final line up.
OFA's Binod Khanna (9', 38'), Dhanaraj (12'), Biju (42', 16'), Ratan (30') scored as rampaging OFA ran riot against MYC for a 6-0 lead but K Ronaldo of MYC pulled back a goal in the 43rd minute to make it 1-6.OFA onslaught continued and it was in the 48th minute that Rohit (48') hit the target to make it 7-1 before Poreiton conceded an own goal the very next minute extending OFA's lead.
Somorjit gave MYC another goal in the 50th minute but it was too late them for them to stage a return.
OFA will meet Five Brothers in the third quarter final clash tomorrow at 1.50 pm.
Meanwhile in the last pre-quarter final clash, ASSA rode on goals scored by M Clinton (12'), L Bobothoi (13'), M Rozer (19') and L Sanajaoba (50') to down FC Lamlai by 4-2 goals.
FC Lamlai's goals were scored by Kh Amarjit and Kh Anosh respectively in the 28th and the 32nd minute of the match.
Sekta B will meet YFC in the second quarter final match tomorrow at 8 am while EUSC, Tellou will take on ASSA, Sanjenbam in the last quarter final match at 3.20 pm .
