Massive wins for Al-Ameen, CYCLONE in 2nd Heibok T-20 Cricket

Al-Ameen, Lilong registered a 6 wicket win against REYS, Nagamapal to stretch their winning ways while CYCLONE inched towards last 8 stage clinching a huge 8 wicket win over CRAU, Khamnam Bazar in today's league matches of the 2nd Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament which is organised by Langthabal Sporting Club under the aegis of Manipur Cricket Association at Langthabal Public Ground.
In the Group B league match, Al Ameen chased down 99 run target set by REYS losing four wickets in 18.4 overs and ended the Nagamapal side's winning streak.
REYS won the toss and opted to bat first but could not do well as they finished their innings at 99 for 8 with Jayenta making the highest 42 runs and Sanjit filing in 12 runs in 9 balls.
Samir of Al-Ameen shone in bowling as he picked up four wickets in 4 overs while Safwan and Mustafa clinched two wickets each.
Al-Ameen batsmen Mustafa (22), Abdullah (24) and Samir (21) made a concerted effort to post a total of 103 runs in 18.4 overs securing the huge 6 wicket win.
Sanjit and Jackiechand of REYS were able to claim 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
Samir of Al-Ameen who enjoyed a 4 wicket haul and contributed 21 runs was named man of the match.
The Group A league match staged latter was almost a replay of the previous game as CYCLONE easily chased down 68 runs managed by CRAU to seal an emphatic 8 wicket win.
CRAU had a dismal start after opting to bat first as Rakesh emerged highest run taker with 24 runs under his name.
Anil also contributed 17 runs before CRAU lost all wickets in 19.2 overs.
Akshaykumar of CYCLONE did the star turn as he enjoyed a 3 wicket haul in this innings while Lamba and Rajesh Patel dismissed 2 wickets each.
Rahul and Ronald struck 28 and 19 runs respectively in reply and helped CYCLONE ease to 69 runs for 2 in 10.4 overs.
Rakesh and Milan of CRAU picked up one wicket each in this innings.
Akshaykumar who led the bowling attack for CYCLONE was latter adjudged man of the match.
TCMDC will meet FORCE in the next Group A league match tomorrow at 9 am while PTRC will take on PCC in a Group D league clash latter at 12.45 pm .
