Bishnupur and Imphal East breezed into the final of the Under-17 State Level Inter School Girls' Football Championship organised by Department of Youth Affairs and Sports at Khuman Lampak, Imphal.
In today's first semi final, the Bishnupur outclassed Jiribam by a margin of five goals to nil.
H Ranjita slotted home two goals in the 10th and 16th minute while H Sunita, Ranjibala and L Julia contributed one goal each in the 1st, 12th and 37th minute.
In the second semi final, Ranjita and Janda of Imphal East struck one goal each in the 3rd and 40th minute to register a convincing 2-0 victory against Thoubal.
Imphal East will play Bishnupur in the U-17 girl's final match tomorrow.
In U-17 boys' Group C league match, Kangpokpi booked the berth for the semifinal after blanking Thoubal by a margin of 5 goals to one.
Kangpokpi's Paochinglun Sitlliou alone slotted four goals in the 3rd, 15th, 42nd and 50th minute while Thangminlen Guite scored a goal in the 3rd minute.
Th Thoithoiba (52) was the lone scorer for the Thoubal side.
In the Group D league match, Chandel held Imphal East to a 1-1 draw.
Th James of Imphal East slammed home the opening goal in the 30th minute.
Minutes later, Chandel found the equaliser when Kagali netted home in the 38th minute.
After the match ended with one goal each, Chandel won the lot and booked a berth for the semifinal.
In an inconsequential match in Group A, a brace from Tharthing Ningsen in the 2nd and 28th minute helped Chandel to edge past Imphal West by a margin of 2 goals to one.
Ukhrul had however already defeated both teams in the previous matches and already booked the semifinal berth.
In Group B league match, a treble from Buanthanglun in the 11th, 24th and 48th minute and Zampui in the 69th minute helped Churachandpur to outclass Bishnupur by a margin of 4 goals to nil.
Ukhrul will play Kangpokpi in the first semifinal while Churachandpur and Chandel will clash in the second semifinal at 7 am at Khuman Lampak and Artificial Turf ground respectively.
