Manipur State Invitation Boxing: Kh Biken downs H Mocha to enter sub-jr boys' 58 kg final

Khundongbam Biken overpowered Hijam Mocha to move into the (2006-2007) sub-jr boys' 58 kg final today at the ongoing 1st Manipur State Invitation Boxing Championship being organised by Manipur Amateur Boxing Association at Boxing Ring Khuman Lampak.

Sub-Junior Boys' (2006-2007)
Khwairakpam Danyson Meitei enter into the final of the sub-junior boy's 43 kg final beating Awungshi Jingo in a semi-final clash today.
Ngariyanbam Jupiter defeated Laishram Yaikhom in a 46 kg semi-final bout to set up final date with Takhellambam Khambaton Singh who overcame Thouna Tensubam in another semi-final match today.
The sub-junior boys 49 kg final will be played between Laishram Dilipkumar and Leivon Bilat Kom.
Dilipkumar reached the final today as he downed Malem Tensuba in the first semi-final match before Leivon Bilat Kom outlasted Khaidem Meekness Meitei.
Serto Kamlenhou Kom on the other hand will meet Thokchom Roben Singh in the 52 kg final.
Serto Kamlenhou saw off Aribam Sakil in the first semi-final match while Roben Singh sent Sinal Allar Singh out in another clash.
The day also saw Naorem Benson Singh defeating Nongthombam Leishemba to reach 52 kg final and will meet Thokchom Bishwamitra who outlasted Moirangthem Punsiba in another semi-final today, for the top honour in the said weight category.
Junior Boys (2004-2005)
Biso Roungkhotinsan Koireng will lock horns for the junior boys' 46 kg crown with Thokchom Lenjaoba.
Biso made it to the final by beating M Amarjoshi in a semi-final clash before Lenjaoba beat H Lanthoi to complete the final line up.
The 48 kg final on the other hand will be played between Irungbam Malemnganba and H Nilakanta.
Malemnganba earned the final berth beating Ngamba Longjam while Nilakanta bagged the final ticket beating Pusham Yasin in another semi-final bout.
Ningthoujam Somananda Singh also reached the 50 kg final after he defeated Khangembam Langamba in a semi-final clash today.
He will meet Leichombam Lamnganba Mangang in the final as the latter saw off Pheiroijam Nonglen in another semi-final clash today.
Okram Gung entered the 52 kg final today as he downed Ronaldo Yumkhaibam and will meet Mayengbam Kishan in the final.
Kishan booked the final berth beating Laishram Nongshaba Singh.
For the 54 kg crown, Laishram Luhen who defeated Likmabam Abhijit in the semi-final will lock horns with Yengkhom Henary who got the better of Longjam Shyamson Meitei in another semi-final bout staged today.
Konjengbam Roshan Meitei was seen setting up 57 kg final date with Laitonjam Robert Singh as Thongam Leninson and Chinglemba Moirangthem completed the final line up for the 60 kg title.
Ahanthem Tulasbol reached the 63 kg final as Mayengbam Neelan dumped Ningthoujam Jackon to enter 66 kg final today.
Youth and Elite Men (1980-2003)
Md Nijamudin will face off with Hawaijam Bonel Singh in the youth and elite men's 49 kg final.
Nijamudin secured the final berth beating L Ronaldo Singh in the first semi-final match while Bonel Singh made it to the final beating Yumlembam Donkson in another semi-final clash.
The day also witnessed Sanjram Suresh, Heikrujam Bhimjit reach 52 kg final beating their respective rivals while Moirangthem Thoiba will face off with Nameirakpam Priyobarta in the 56 kg final bout.
