One day adventure programme held

Adventure Cell, Manipur University organised a 'One Day Adventure Programme' yesterday at Manipur Mountaineering Institute (MMI), Lamdan under the theme 'Build Up Confidence, Courage and Character' as a part of the Fit India Movement.
Flagging off the programme from the Traffic Point, MU, Prof W Chandbabu, Registrar MU said that adventure is one of the best tools to develop confidence, shape better personalities, build leadership, courage, team spirit, friendship and trust amongst each other, said a statement issued by Fit India Campaign Committee (FICC) and Fit India Club (FIC), MU .
Different activities including zip-lining, Burma bridge crossing, monkey crawl, jhoomering, ladder climbing etc.
were part of the one day adventure programme which was participated by 60 participants from various departments of the university including teachers, added the statement.
Dr L Santosh Singh, Convenor of FICC and FIC, highlighted the theme of the campaign and the importance of the one day adventure programme and said adventure sports is now gaining worldwide recognition, added the statement.
The statement further said that Dr K Romeo Meitei, training in-charge of the programme expressed that adventure sport activities pushes one to get out of their comfort zone to perform an adventurous task which enhances body-mind coordination and elevates concentration levels and will bring a sense of balance among students or youths.
