Manipur crowned Nat'l junior Thang-Ta champions

Manipur (Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association) won 11 more gold medals to become team champions of the 28th National Junior Thang-Ta Championship 2022 at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium on Friday.
The day's gold medals came courtesy of A Dhanapati Chanu, M Roniya Devi, A Johnika Devi, K Thaja Chanu, H Dolly Devi, N Yaisana Chanu, K Bishal Singh, S Malemngan-bi Chanu, S Rojika Chanu, S Lamjingba Chanu and Chandani Sunar.
Earlier on Thursday, Ng Bholen Singh, L Ashamani Meitei, Kh Panan Meitei, Th Gunabanta Singh, Ph Bishorjit Meitei, Birajit Ngashepam, Rohit Miasnam, Kh Abomcha Singh, K Loveson, N Bikash Singh, S Sunibash Singh and L Thouna Meitei bagged gold medals for the state.
Manipur collected 25 gold, eight silver and one bronze medals to end their triumphant campaign with 34 medals and lay their hands of the championship trophy.
Jammu & Kashmir Thang-Ta Association finished runners-up with 20 medals that included five gold, eight silver and seven bronze.
Assam Thang-Ta Association claimed the third place with a haul of five gold, five silver and three bronze medals.
Teams from Tripura, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland, Bihra, Jharkhand, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Punjab, Telangana, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh were other participants of the championship.
