1st Senapati District Veteran 3 men's volleyball tournament concludes

Senapati, November 26 2021:
The 1st ever Senapati District Veteran 3 men's volleyball tournament and Penalty shootout competition that had begun on November 23 concluded on November 25.The event was reportedly organised by the Khavei Kha, Khabung Karong under the theme, "Promoting health & fitness" for sports lovers of 40 years & above of age groups.
The opening day of the sports was kicked off by Kapa Kaikho, Jt Director (Retd), Tribal Welfare on November 23 and witnessed 17 teams in 3 men's volleyball.
Siile Anthony, Director (Retd), NEC kicked off the penalty shootout competitions with 25 players.
Phuba Khuman Veteran club bagged the championship in 3 men's volleyball and walked away with a cash prize of Rs 50,000 Khavei Kha, Karong bagged the runners up and walked away with Rs 30,000 4th IRB, Senapati bagged the 3rd prize and walked away with Rs 10,000 and Rokhopfii, Koide village bagged the 4th prize and walked away with Rs 3,000.There was reportedly an award for the man of the match in every game during the tournament.
Best player in 3 men's volleyball was awarded to H Dale and walked away with Rs 3,000 while the oldest player of the tournament was awarded to Th Thohrii of Karong, aged about 67 years.
Dziino Boyz bagged the winner in penalty shootout and walked away with Rs 10,000 cash prize while Taphou Phyamai bagged the runners up and walked with cash prize of Rs 5,000 .
Joram Koveo, President, Senapati District Olympic Association, Manipur (SDOAM) distributed the cash prizes on November 25.The organizing committee expressed gratitude to 33 Assam Rifles for providing samiyana, tent and chairs during the tournament.
Mention may be made that L Dikho, Minister, PHED, Printing & Stationery, Manipur donated the first prize of Rs 50,000 RS Henry Hiilii, Ex-Chairman, ADC, Senapati donated the second prize of Rs 30,000 and Ela-a Talu, Dy Director (Retd), Social Welfare, ICDS- donated the third prize of Rs 10,000 for 3 men's volleyball.
Siile Anthony, Director (Retd), NEC donated Rs 40,000 towards the success of the program while D.D.Thaisii, MLA, 47-Karong A/C, Thaiba Sanii, Social Worker, W Joram, Vice President, NPF, Manipur Unit, R.Yuh Jonathan Tao, Vice President, BKP, Manipur Pradesh (OBC in charge), Robert T Maram, Working President, NPF, Manipur Unit and Kapa Kaikho, Jt Director (Retd), Tribal Welfare generously donated a sum of Rs 10,000 each towards organising the tournament where the organising committee expressed gratitude to them.
