U-14 football: GFA, PLL, NESU, PFC complete QF lineup

Golden FA, Pehlum Lamhil Lawm, North Eastern Sporting Union and Poloi Football Club reached the quarterfinals of the U-14 Boys' Inter Club Football Tournament as the league round wrapped up on Monday.
Golden FA ensured their place in the last eight with a comfortable 3-0 victory against SOCDEC.
Sagolsh em Nongshaba opened the scoring in the 25th minute, Soibam Shyam Singh extended their lead in the 65th minute and Oinam Telheiba Meetei made it 3-0 in the first minute of stoppage.
Pehlum Lamhil Lawm scored in both halves to outscore RAU 2-1 on their way to the quarterfinals.
Satminlun Khongsai registered their first shot on target in the 10th minute and put his side in front before Khomdram Jenish Singh evened the score for RAU in the 49th minute.
Khupngaisang Guite reclaimed PLL's lead after converting in the 55th minute as his team clung on to seal the win.
NESU too prevailed by similar 2-1 margin against WFA with strikes from Abujam Sanathoi (18) and Takhellambam Thoi (72) for their place in the quarter-finals.
WFA's lone goal was scored by T Rohit (20).Despite losing 1-2 to Classic FA, Poloi FC managed to reach the last eight as Serto Worneilen Kom's double went in vain.
Poloi FC scored their goal in the 75th minute through Ahanthem Sonalish Singh.
In the first two quarterfinal matches on March 15, RFCC will be up against NESU and GFA will take on BFA.
