India-A defeated France and South Africa drubbed England to enter the semifinals of the ongoing 8th Manipur Polo International organised in connection with the ongoing Sangai Festival by Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association at Mapal Kangjeibung (Imphal Pologround) .
Today's first quarter final match was began with Vijay Singh hat-trick in the 1.07, 2.05 and 6.22 minute of the first Chukker.
France were failed to score during the Chukker.
France opened their scoring in the second Chukker through Matias Busquet.
Akhil Sirohi scored one goal and Anad Singh also smashed a double for India-A in the Chukker.
At the end of the Chukker India-A led over France by 6-1 goals.
France scored two in the third Chukker whereas India-A culled three goals.
Bastien Mestrallet and Rodolfo A Busquet scored one goal each.
Akshai Malik scored two goals and Vijay Singh scored one for India-A team.
In the last Chukker, France heaped their score to five through Matias R Busquet 's double.
Vijay Singh scored India-A's last goal in the 0.10 minute and entered semifinal of the International Polo.
South Africa ousted England from title race by 12-6 goals in the second quarterfinal match today.
South Africa dominated all the Chukkers except the second Chukker where England scored three while South Africa could score two goals.
South Africa scored three goals through John Eustace's two goals and one goal from Justin Snaith in the first Chukker.
Ali Paterson was the only scorer in that Chukker.
In the third Chukker England were in nil but South Africa scored four goals, three from John Eustace and one goal from Justin Snaith.
In the Forth Chukker, South Africa retaliated England with same scoring format of the second Chukker.
In the last Chukker South Africa scored three through Sean O'Sullivan's two goals and one from Cameron Chubb.
England could fetch two goals through Elliot Sands and Ali Paterson.
