PTRC, Patsoi who conceded in the first match against TRAU, Kwakeithel bounced back today to beat REYS, Nagamapal by 66 runs in a Group B league match of the ongoing 4th MCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Tournament 2018 organised under the aegis of Manipur Cricket Association at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangsangbam.
The day saw, PTRC stack up a lowly 182 runs in the first inning.
Johny who came on the crease after winning the toss managed to hit 43 runs before he went out in the 51st delivery.
His compatriot Saurav Jain made another 41 runs off 65 balls while Johnson and Nickol gathered 35 and 12 runs each to set a target of 183 for the loss of 7 wickets in 40 overs.
Jeckychand, Nicky and Robertson of the Nagamapal side shared 2 wickets each in this inning.
REYS started the second inning with a blast as Jayenta slammed an outstanding 71 runs off 64 balls but the following batsmen could not build lasting partnerships to fall heavily at 116 runs in 24.1 overs.
All the bowlers of PTRC enjoyed dismissing two wickets each in the inning except REX who picked one.
Bishorjit, Jotin, Pradeep and Alfred together troubled the batting order of REYS and broke the partnership in time to hold them at 116 runs.
Guniram and Mahesh of REYS registered 7 runs each in this chase.
Johny of PTRC who made 41 runs was named man of the match.
CYCLONE, Thangmei-band will meet THAU, Thangmeiband in a Group A league match tomorrow at the same ground.
