Veteran Cricket: CYCLONE lift final trophy

Imphal, February 11 2014:
The much awaited final match of the 11th Manipur Veteran Cricket Championship, 2013-14 played at Langthabal Cricket Ground today between CYCLONE Thangmeiband and NAPSA Kha Imphal.
However, CYCLONE won the final match by 6 runs over NAPSA.
NAPSA won the toss of the match and elected to bat first.
In the batting session, players of NAPSA secured 94 runs with 10 wickets down from 31.2 overs while players of match winning team CYCLONE took 95 runs with 4 wickets down from 16.4 over to lift the trophy.
.HArun of CYCLONE was awarded man of the match for his outstanding performance of taking 4 wickets.
Man of the Series award was also given to T.Bhogen of NAPSA while the honour for the oldest player of the tournament went to T.Brajabidhu of IWVCC.
Man of the series award was sponsored by president of MVCA, T.Subol Singh of Tera Tongbram Leikai in the fond loving memory of his beloved mother late T.Ongbi Ahanbi Devi.
A cash prize amount of Rs.10,000 and a trophy was given to the winner team while Rs.7,000 and a trophy to the runner's up team.
