AKSDO to face NAPSA in Plate cricket final

AKSDO (Khangabok) pulled off a one-wicket victory against NCA (Ningthoukhong) to face NAPSA in the final of the 7th MNCA Plate Tournament.
Roshan Konthoujam, who scored 76 off 104 balls, was the star performer for NCA, who were all out for 128 after opting to bat first.
Roshan's dismissal depleted the Ningthoukhong side's batting performance as his fellow batsmen failed to deliver.
AKSDO wiped out the NCA batting lineup in 34.1 overs as Saikhom Kaiku Singh shone with the ball by dishing out an impressive haul of four wickets while Rosan Laishram made his mark with three scalps, coupled with one wicket each by Akash Laishram, Laishram Rohit and Laishram Nirash.
In their run chase, AKSDO struggled against the NCA bowlers.
They took 34.1 overs to achieve the target at the expense of nine wickets in their nervy chase.
The Khangabok side's successful chase was set up by Winchelly Laishram (34) and Bishorjit Mangang (34), with contributions from Ingobi (11), Chinglensana Moirangthem (5), Sanayai Ningthoujam (5), Rosan Laishram (4 not out), Laishram Rohit (1 not out) and Akash Laishram (2).For NCA, Chourjeet Rk, Sushil Moirangtham and Roshan Konthoujam picked up two wickets each while Shinoj Khwairakpam took one.
The final match between AKSDO and NAPSA will take place on February 5 at Oriental College.
