CPC-A and K&MM Riding School�A ride on sans obstacles in State Polo

Chingkheihunba Polo Club (CPC) (A) and K&MM Riding School (K&MMRS) (A) registered comfortable wins in the 31st State Level Polo Tournament was strike at Mapal Kangjeibung on Monday.
The win propelled CPC � A into the quarter final while K&MMRS �A continued their march for a place in the pre quarter final.
In the group match, Chingkheihunba Polo Club (CPC) (A) and Kangleipak Polo Star Club (KPSC) initiated the proceedings with caution.
L Leishemba broke the death lock by scoring a goal in the 4th min of the first chukker and gave the initial momentum of the match in favour of KPSC.
Parity was restored by Th Kaoba of CPC in the 7th min when he turned around his marker and fires a goal in second chukker.

CPC defended equally well to end the second chukker in even terms and take the momentum back from KPSC.
CPC began the third chukker from where they left in second chukker and take the lead in 2nd min of the chukker through L Kokeshwor.
T Leishemba, KPSC, scored in the next minute to maintain the equilibrium of the match.
However, L Kokeshwor again wrest the lead in favour of CPC by pumping two goals in the 4th and 5th min and take his personal score to 3 goals.
Once the lead is taken, CPC player put more strikers in KPSC trerritory and consolidate the lead through L Atangba (6th min) and Th Kaoba (7th min).
At the end of the penultimate chukker, CPC leads KPSC by 6-2 .
The lead of CPC was extended by Y Suraj in the final chukker with a goal in 3rd min of the chukker.
CPC players defended their territory from further damage and pocket the match by 7-2 margin and marched into the quarter final.
In the other group match, K&MA Riding School (A) lock horns will ESC (B) for a place in pre quarter final.
K&MA began the match in right earnest and tried to control the match from the early minute.
The manoeuvres of K&MA were equally matched by ESC players however a lapse in concentration in the dying minutes of the chukker hand over K&MA the lead through L Dhaneshwor in 7th min.
L Dhaneshwor carried the momentum in the second chukker and scored a goal in 3rd min.
ESC responded courageously and reduced the margin through N Prem in the next few seconds.
After the parity, both the team press hard to consolidate the match.
Similar to first chukker, Dhaneshwor again scored in 7.3 min for K&MA to consolidate the lead.
The last minute goal had a demoralising effect on ESC while K&MA had a positive effect.
L Dhaneshwor again scored in the 4th min to take his personal score to 4 goals in the match.
ESC players could not added any further goals to its earlier team score and ended the penultimate chukker in 3 goals deficit.
S James rubbed salt to the wounds of ESC when he fires in a goal in the 2nd min of the final chukker.
With the comfortable lead K&MA protected their territory from any damage from ESC and that left the ESC player with chasing the balls.
O Satyajit caused more hurt to the already demoralised souls of ESC by pumping a goal in 7th min and walked away with the match with 6-1 score.
On Tuesday, X-Fitness Wangkhei will see off with Manipur Police Sporting Club (MPSC) (C) while Nongchip Pana Sagol Kangjei Lup (NPSKL) (B) clash with Chingkheihunba Polo Club (CPC) (B) to continue the actions of the tournament that is being organised by All Manipur Polo Association (AMPA) .
