Khanglai, KLASA ousted from state league chart

FC Khanglai Churachandpur and KLASA Keinou were relegated from the state league while TRAU and NEROCA will fight for the title tomorrow.
Three-time title winner NISA Thangmeiband rode on Rishikanta's brace in finding a place in the next state league's fixture while double scores from Newton Konjengbam gave NACO Nambul Mapal to hang on the tail-end of the league table and booked a berth for next league.
In the first relegation match of the 9th Manipur State football league, today, NISA blanked out FC Khanglai by 2-0 goals.
All the two goals of the NISA were scored during the first half time by O Rishikanta.
Rishikanta smashed his first goal in the 7th minute.
Just nine minutes later, he scored his second goal.
Thus, NISA ousted FC Khanglai from the state league.

In the second relegation match, a double strike from Newton Kongjengbam of NACO led to thrash KLASA Keinou by 3-1 goals.
NACO opened score account in the 38th minute through K Rockey and led the match 1-nil over KLASA at the first half time.
Newton's goal spree came in the 49th and 61st minute and kept the score-sheet 3-0.A Kenejit's 86th minute goal reduced the margin but that was all as KLASA eventually went down 3-1 .
Match referee cautioned Newton Konjengbam of NACO and S Dharamjit of KLASA by showing yellow cards during the match.
The final match of the 9th Manipur State League 2014 organised by All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) under the sponsorship of MLA Khumukcham Joykisan will be held at Mapal Kangjeibung here tomorrow at 1.30 pm.
TRAU Kwakeithel and NEROCA Sangakpham will clash for the title.
The final match would be graced by Heingang MLA, N Biren; Saikul MLA Yamthong Haokip; Thongju MLA Th Biswajit and Secretary, Revenue, Arts & Culture & DC Imphal West, K Radhakumar as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
