India bag gold in junior team sprint

Imphal, February 17 2018:
Indian junior cycling team bagged a gold medal in the sprint event at the 38th Senior and 25th Junior Asian Track Cycling Championship which began today in Malaysia.

James from Manipur is among the junior team who bagged the historic gold medal for India.
The other players in the team were Mayur Pawar and Ishwar.
The trio created history by winning the first cycling gold medal in the Asian Championship.
There are two more cyclists from Manipur in the Indian contingent.
I Goutamini, Physical Education Teacher, YAS who is also from Manipur, is leading the Indian women's team as coach for this championship.
