Octogenarian polo players receive incentives from Governor

Imphal, March 10 2016:
Governor of Manipur V Shanmuganathan has given an incentive of Rs 10,000 each to two State octogenarian polo players today at Raj Bhavan, Imphal.
The two players are Kshetrimayum Joykumar Singh (81 yrs) of Mayang Imphal Maibam Konjil and Yumnam Jila Singh (82 yrs) Y Manaoton Singh of Waheng Khuman, Bishnupur.

On the occasion, Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association (MHRPA) president S Budhachandra Singh and MHRPA vice-president Dr Chaurjit Singh were also present during the programme.
The incentives were given from Governor's Discretionary Fund every year especially to the polo players who have crossed 80 years, said a statement issued by Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) .
