Sr Women's Football League : YWC overtake KRYPHSA in league table after 3-1 win

Imphal, January 31 2022:
Relentless YWC, Langthabal beat leaders KRYPHSA 3-1 to climb atop the league table of the ongoing 12th AMFA Senior Women's Football League Tournament organised by the All Manipur Football Association here at Artificial turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.
In a top of the table clash, YWC produced a much improved side to overcome KRYPHSA 3-1 today.
YWC were in control of the game from the word go and took 9 minutes to take the lead via Hoineihat but the Naoremthong side did well to pull level via Th Babysana in the 35th minute.

Undeterred YWC however restored their lead in the 37th minute thanks to S Rinaroy Devi.
YWC, even though failed to make inroads for a major portion of the second half, had their last ditch effort converted through M Nandeshwori (80+2') to wrap up the match 3-1 and spiced up the double league competition.
Earlier in the 25th match of the day, ESU Wangkhei beat ICSA, Irengbam 2-0 for the 5th win in as many as 9 matches.
The goals for the winning side were scored by Y Kiranbala early in the 3rd minute and K Anju Chanu in the 29th minute.
With the win ESU are third on 17 points and are literally out of the title race.
Later in the penultimate match of the day, Ksh Naocha scored a goal each on either side of the break to ensure MPSC seal a 2-0 win over Women Football Academy (WFA), Kakching.
Ksh Naocha got the breakthrough as early as 7 minutes into the game and solidified MPSC's lead with another in the 65th minute.
MPSC then held on to their lead as WFA who were winless in 8 of 8 previous matches failed to make the most of the few scoring chances they managed to create.
On the final day matches scheduled on February 2, ESU will play YWC, ICSA will take on WFA and KRYPHSA will play MPSC.
