Sub-Junior Girls National Football C’ship : Chandigarh, Delhi enter quarter finals

Chan-digarh defeated Uttar Pradesh while Delhi recorded a massive 24-0 victory against Jammu and Kashmir to sail into the quarter finals of the ongoing Sub-Junior Girls National Football Championship 2017 hosted by All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) under the supervision of All India Football Federation today at Artificial turf ground, Khuman Lampak .
In the second leg of group B, Chandigarh outclassed Uttar Pradesh 3-0 to emerge winners of group B .
Anju struck twice for Chandigarh in the 12th and the 45th minute while Puja scored one to complete the 3-0 rout.
Chandigarh won the previous leg against Uttar Pradesh by a 5-0 margin .
In the second league match of the day, Delhi ran riots against Jammu and Kashmir to pump in 24 goals and entered the quarter finals in style.
Today’s score is the highest ever so far in this championship followed by the 17-0 victory secured by Madhya Pradesh against Jammu and Kashmir .
Leishi Kasar of Delhi struck the opener early in the 8th minute.
Thereafter, Gauri Janghra, Aniya Goel and Abeka Singh took their turns to sum up the 24 goals .
Gauri Janghra struck thrice in the 25th, 79th and 86th minute while Aniya Goel scored six goals in the 21st, 43rd, 65th, 67th, 78th and 90th minute.
Abeka Singh fired in her record twelve goals today in the 14th, 16th, 23rd, 37th, 41st, 45th, 52nd, 56th, 61st, 84th, 87th minute and one during the additional time.
Satuki Khanduri also struck one via a penalty in the 71st minute of the match to hand Delhi a record win in the championship.
