Women's National League pre-qualifying MPSC down ESU 3-2; KRYPHSA blank YWC 2-0

Imphal, July 28 2016:
Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) and KRYPHSA, Naoremthong won against their respective opponents in the ongoing Pre-Qualifying Round for Women's National League 2016, organised by the All Manipur Football Association (AMFA), today at Artificial Turf ground, Khuman Lampak.
In the first match, MPSC clinched a thrilling 3-2 victory against ESU, Wangkhei.
The match began on a positive note with both sides going on the offensive.

The first half however ended in a goalless draw after both teams failed to break the deadlock.
It was Ng Bala who slammed in the opening goal of the Police team in the 72nd minute through a pass from A Roja Devi.
Minutes later, O Bembem Devi converted a penalty kick in the 79th minute to help MPSC take a comfortable 2-0 lead.
On the other side, ESU quickly pulled back a goal through W Ranjibala's header in the 83rd minute.
Minutes later, ESU came back into the match after Th Umapati netted the equaliser in the 87th minute.
However, all the hard efforts of ESU went in vain after O Bembem Devi converted her second penalty shoot in the dying 89th minute to make the final scoreline 3-2 in favour of MPSC.
ESU's Ng Sweety Devi, E Panthoi Chanu and MPSC's H Thoi Devi were cautioned for unsporting behaviour during the match.
In the second match today, KRYPHSA, Naoremthong blanked YWC, Langthabal by a margin of 2 goals to nil.
The match began with an early own goal through YWC's Ph Ichal Devi in the 11th minute while clearing a cross from KRYPHSA's L Madhabi Devi.
YWC's Ch Binomala Chanu got an opportunity to level the scoreline in the 34th minute but KRYPHSA goalkeeper impressively saved the strike.
The first half ended 1-0 in favour of KRYPHSA.
The second winning goal of KRYPHSA came in the late 88th minute through S Ranjana Chanu.
W Lingthoingambi Chanu of KRYPHSA was cautioned for unsporting behaviour during the match.
