MA, which saw off YUFC, Ukhrul with a similar 2-0 margin, were seen preserving their composure right from the beginning and despite dominating the possession, FC Lamjao were able to hold the pressure.
The Lamjao side could have taken the lead if they had converted a counter attack which went too close past the MA keeper but luck did not favour them from making the headway.
And to their disappointment Paolenmang Tuboi broke through first the 31st minute for MA tapping in with a quick feet after his attacking partner Cleavin Hmar R set up him up with a brilliant pass inside the FC Lamjao box.
MA could have doubled the lead in the latter part of the first half but FC Lamjao defence made a diligent effort to deny their rivals and made it 0-1 till the break.
After the changeover, FC Lamjao were forced to step out of their half in search of the equaliser while the Sadar Hills team had to bear the pressure although it was not intense.
FC Lamjao however lose the tempo as the game wore on and it were experience MA players who gradually started mounting pressure upon their rivals with Cleavin Hmar and Bonson leading the attack.
And their efforts reaped dividend in the 74th minute with Cleavin Hmar R making a fine effort count.
MA were cautious in their latter approach against FC Lamjao, who were anticipating a late comeback and eventually closed out the game 2-0 .
