Model Club and YWC emerge victorious in 2nd Heibok T-20 Cricket tournament

Model Club, Chingamakha beat Sagolband United by 10 wickets while YWC, Langthabal also defeated Sangai Singjamei by 4 wickets in the ongoing 2nd Heibok T-20 Cricket tournament organized by Langthabal Sporting Club, Langthabal under the aegis of Manipur Cricket Association at Langthabal Public Ground today.
Ishworjit and Karnajit guided Model Club, Chingamakha to a spectacular win against Sagolband United in the first match of the day.
The pair put on an unbeaten 72 to reach the target set by Sagolband United without fall of wicket in 6.3 overs.
Ishworjit made an unbeaten 35 runs facing 22 balls while Karnajit also scored 21 runs not out of 17 balls.
Earlier, Sagolband United won the toss and elected to bat first and posted a meagre total of 71 runs in 20 overs for the loss of six wickets.
Dijen 28 (42 balls) and Deeput 17 (24 balls) were the two batsmen of Sagolband United who have helped their team to set the insufficient target.
For Model Club, Bishworjit Leishangthem skalped 3 wickets in 4 overs while Inao and Iboyaima claimed 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
Bishworjit Leishangthem of Model Club was named man-of-the-match for his 3 wickets haul.
In the second match, Sangai Singjamei elected to bat first after winning the toss and posted a total of 89 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.
Kishan scored 38 runs of 40 balls while Heman added 11 runs facing 11 balls to post the target.
Sunil emerged leading wicket takers for YWC Langthabal claiming 3 wickets in 4 overs while Sobachandra and Prakashmani took 2 wickets each.
In reply, YWC Langthabal reached the target in 18.5 overs with 6 wickets down riding on Jiko's 25 runs of 34 balls, Prafullomani's 16 (12 balls) and Kishan's 12 (7) .
For Sangai Singjamei, Sandip and Denin took two wickets each.
Sunil of YWC was adjudged man of the match for taking 3 wickets.
CHAMP will face PCC tomorrow in the first match while FORCE will meet CYCLONE in the second match.
