Imphal, December 23 2019:
KLASA, Keinou snatched a 2-1 comeback win against NACO, Nambul Mapal to earn a place in the quarter finals of the ongoing 62nd CC Meet today at Mapal Kangjeibung.
The three goals, two penalty and a header, all came in the first half itself and although no goals were added during the latter half, the two teams were making all out attacks in the second half as KLASA were looked for more goals to extend the lead and NACO were struggling hard to equalise and make their way back to the game.

NACO which earned the last 16 round berth with a slender 1-0 win against YPHU, had a positive start as P Ajangpu Kabui got a spot kick converted to open up the account early in the 4th minute after he was pulled deliberately inside the KLASA box by N Ngoubamacha.
NACO however failed to sustain their momentum and lose ground when Ngoubamacha pulled level for KLASA off a header in the 16th minute and set up their recovery path.
It was a spectacular effort as well placed Ngoubamacha connected to an aerial ball being set by L Nabachandra off a free kick from the left midfield, before glancing home the header past the hapless NACO keeper.
KLASA, which got a morale boost after levelling the margin, completed the turnaround at the stroke of the half hour mark when L Nabachandra, who set the equaliser earlier, converted well a penalty kick after being fouled by NACO defender L Rocky.
NACO too had their chances to draw level in the first half however lack of accuracy and finesse held them back and eventually KLASA went into the break with a 2-1 advantage.
After the restart KLASA were concentrating more in defence and set out for attempts to add to their tally occasionally as NACO poured more men into their half (KLASA's) and pushed hard in search of the equaliser which failed to yield result.
With neither side making the best of their latter chances, the game ended 2-1 in KLASA's favour.
The Keinou team will now meet Laban Sports Club, Shillong in a quarter final clash.
AFC will play SSU in the next last 16 round clash tomorrow at 1.45 pm .
