NSA emerge on top with 18 medals as Kid, Mini and Sub-Jr Archery C'ship concludes

NSA topped the medal tally with a rich haul of 8 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze medals at the 3rd Kid, 12th Mini and 34th Sub-Junior State Archery Championships-2019 which concluded today.
Finishing second were, VAA which fetched, 3 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze medals.
The closing ceremony of the championship organised by Manipur Archery Association at Thoubal Kshetri Leikai and participated by 197 boys and 95 girls from across 15 units was attended by Okram Surjakumar, MLA Khangabok AC; Ph Vijendrakumar Sharma; Konsam Michael, Retd Asst Director Sports Authority of India.; Waikhom Ibohal Singh, Retd District Youth Co-Ordinator, Nehru Yuva Kendra and Puyam Joteshwar Meitei, Councillor (Ward No 5), Thoubal Municipal Council as dignitaries who also feted the medallists.
Last Day events
50+50 m compound
Senyai Th of VAA bagged the 50+50 m compound event gold for sub-junior girls as she topped with 629 points while N Beronika Devi of UAC and Lanchenbi Urungpurel of ACE finished second and third with 627 and 621 points to settle for the silver and the bronze medal respectively.
50+50 m compound gold for boys went to Y Rojit of NSA who amassed 657 points while NSA's Malemnganba (655 points) and UAC's Ng Lamnganba (643 points) won the silver and the bronze medal respectively.
In the compound team event for boys, Y Rojit, N Malemnganba, E Lamnganba and Y Ronelkumar collected 1946 points to win the gold medal while UAC and ACE teams respectively collected 1887 points and 1846 points respectively to settle for the silver and the bronze medal.
Indian Round Team events
KMAC sub-junior girls team comprising of Villenia Th, M Baby, Millenia Th and M Soniya Devi fetched the Indian Round team gold after they managed 1956 points while NSA and BCAC teams while respectively collected 1887 and 1854 points were able to win the silver and the bronze medal.
NSA team of L Yohenba, RK Wangthoisana, S Johnson and Kh Nareshkumar finished first in the Indian round team event for sub-junior boys with 2060 points to bag the gold medal while KMAC and ITAC teams which collected 2039 points and 2012 points respectively grabbed the silver and the bronze medal.
60+60 m Recurve
Y Anupama earned NSA a gold medal in the 60+60 m Recurve event for sub-junior girls as she collected 626 points while G Poulinlu of SAIRC and H Sandhyarani of NSA bagged the silver and the bronze medals respectively with 578 and 570 points.
Meanwhile in the boys event, L Nelson of NSA laid his hands on the gold medal securing 654 points while his compatriots AK Amarjeet and N Parithoi won the silver and the bronze medals fetching 646 and 633 points respectively.
Team Recurve title for boys went to NSA whose L Nelson, AK Amarjeet, N Parithoi and Md Aman Ali collected 1933 points together while ACE and SAIRC teams bagged the silver and the bronze medals with 1702 and 1660 points respectively.
