State Level Youth Leadership Training Course kicks off

Imphal, November 19 2019:
A State Level Youth Leadership Training Course has started at the conference hall of State Youth Centre under the aegis of Department of Youth Affairs and Sports.
The training course organised with the aim of inculcating leadership traits to the youths will continue till 23 of this month.
The inaugural function of the course was attended by Kh Pramoda, Joint Director, Youth Affairs and Sports as chief guest who also encouraged youths to become successful and responsible citizens of the Nation.

In her speech, the chief guest said that youths should be role model of the Nation and their success story and responsible acts should guide the Nation to a new era.
The Joint Director also maintained that, youths should pick up the baton of leadership from earlier ones who have grown older and lacked support with the growing age and thoroughly endorse the ideals and experiences they had left for a better cause and move forward.
Senior Youth Officer of Youth Affairs and Sports Department, K Tomba, in his welcome address, highlighted the objective and the importance of organising the leadership training course.
The inaugural function of the training course which is being attended by around 130 youths from across the State was also graced by L Jayentakumar Singh, Joint Director Youth Affairs and Sports and Pari Thoihenba, Senior Finance Officer, Youth Affairs and Sports as presidium members.
The training course will see youths go through many topics including "Youth and Concept of Youth Work", "Resource Mobilisation Concept and Methods", "Mental Health", "Motivation and its effectiveness", "Mass Media and social unrest", "Present scenario of global warming ", "Communication and its basic need as a Youth Leader", "Crime and Immoral trafficking in woman and child", " Need of personality development as a youth leader", "Role of a leader in an organisation and society", "Need of communal harmony for development of the State", "Registration of NGO under Society Registration Act and its necessary formalities" and "How to maintain a Cash-book and Records" under the guidance of many resource persons besides social service programmes and cultural activities.
