Imphal, October 17 2017:
The newly formed Manipur State League Participating Teams’ Forum (MSLPTF), Manipur has urged All Manipur Football Association to give some thought to the stand adopted by the Forum .
In a statement, MSLPTF, taking note of the statement issued by AMFA earlier, said that the appeals to AMFA are not far fetched for they are practised everywhere in every league and matches played across the country .
Elaborating, MSLPTF said that the demand that some amount of the proceeds from the day’s match be given to the participating teams is not unreasonable, contending that it would not hurt AMFA to give Rs 5000 to the team from the sale proceeds of Rs 30,000/40,000 .
The stand that video coverage be provided is to ensure live coverage of the day’s matches, said MSLPTF and added that the demand that a Man of the Match be declared after every match is a universal practise .
It is also only right that the president/secretary of the teams participating on the day be provided seating arrangement at the venue.
This is not an outlandish demand, it added.
The demand that adequate medical team be provided is because in case of any serious injury the team medics available will not be able to do much to ensure the safety of the players involved .
Players too need to be provided proper changing room with clean and hygienic changing rooms and toilets, it added.
In case any stand off occurs between two teams, AMFA should act only after hearing the two sides and not only after getting the story from one side.
This will ensure fairness .
On the other hand all the 12 teams participating in this year’s Manipur State League have endorsed the formation of MSLPTF with all teams forwarding letters of support.
