60th CC Meet Tuboi's hat trick powers FC Zalen to SF

Seikhohao Tuboi did the star turn as he hit a hat trick to power FC Zalen into the semifinal of the 60th CC Meet with the team's outplaying outstation team BAC, Kokrajhar (Assam) 4-2 today at Mapal Kangjeibung.
Even as the Assam outfits put up a spirited fight for the first 20 minutes, they could not carry on the momentum for long and ceded to intense pressure.
FC Zalen, who turned the table in their favour then, were in command throughout the match.
Seikhohao Tuboi, who was in his element from the beginning of the match today, brought the roof down with his brilliant triple strike in the first half.
FC Zalen's Seikhohao Tuboi dribbled past BAC defenders and netted a superb opener in the 10th minute.

The score was however levelled as FC Zalen defender T Nelson Kom scored an own goal in the 15th minute.
Both sides pushed hard to find the lead launching raids against each other's territories.
FC Zalen, who had the upper hand, took another lead as Seikhohao Tuboi converted a penalty kick in the 39th minute.
Penalty was awarded in favour of Zalen as BAC defender Kapil Boro's hand came into contact with the ball while trying to clear a shot on goal by Zalen's Lalminlian Vaiphei.
Tuboi latched on a pass from Lalminlian Vaiphei in the one minute injury time of the first half to complete his hat trick.
Just one minute into the second half, Thangtinlen Haokip capped with the fourth goal of FC Zalen courtesy a pass by Ng Bedeenpar Moyon.
Francis Xavier set up Ashok Brahma to net one goal for BAC in the 66th minute.
Even as BAC made frenetic attempts to launch onslaughts on the FC Zalen's territory, their rivals thwarted any danger posed by them.
Future football promotor award was presented to FC Zalen's Seikhohao Tuboi.
