USA, ZFC, TRAU win; MPSC hold NISA 1-1

The United Sports Association (USA), Khurai outclassed Keinou Library and Sports Association (KLASA), Keinou by a margin of 5 goals to one, Zomi Football Club (ZFC), Churachandpur registered a 3-1 win over Tiddim Road Unique Gammy Players' Union (TRUGPU), Nambol, Tiddim Road Athletic Union (TRAU), Kwakeithel outplayed North Eastern Re-Organising And Cultural Association (NEROCA), Sangakpham 2-0 and a late goal from Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) ensured a 1-1 draw against North Imphal Sporting Association (NISA) in the ongoing 9th Manipur State League organised by All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) under the sponsorship of MLA Khumukcham Joykishan Singh at Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal.

The first match began with USA's Y Subash slamming in the opening goal in the 13th minute.
KLASA came back into the match when S Somananda struck home in the 31'st minute.
After the breather, USA players started launching a series of attack and L Fernando and Ranjan Kabui found the target in the 49th minute 69th minute of the match to take a comfortable 3-1 lead.
USA continued to dominate and Md Asif did the star turn adding two more in the 72nd and 85th minute of the match and helped his team carve out a convincing 5-1 win against the hapless KLASA.
In the second match of the day, Churachandpur players Kleven Hmar, Paokhomang and Lalrinluwang contributed one goal each in the 45th, 76th and 78th minute to claim a well derved win against TRUGPU.
Ch Anandkumar scored the consolation goal for TRUGPU.
In the third match of the day, TRAU and NEROCA failed break the deadlock till the breather.
After the first half, NEROCA players went on the offensive and started raiding the territory of the rival.
S Ratan and Th Premkumar scored one goal each in the 50th and 83rd minute of the match and recorded a 2-0 win against TRAU.
In today's fourth match, defending champion NISA and the police team started on a positive note.
However all the good moves initiated in the mid field failed to produce a single goal and the two teams took the lemon break without scoring.
After a goalless breather, a powerful header from NISA's O Hishikanta in the 72nd minute of the match helped NISA take a 1-0 lead.
On the other hand, the police players went on the offensive and fought hard till A Ningthouba slammed home the equaliser in the dying minute of the match to restore parity.
