Second Division League NEROCA down Fateh Hyderabad to lead table

NEROCA FC continue to lead the table with 17 points overcoming a fighting Fateh Hyderabad 2-1 in the 2nd Division League underway since April 7 .
The League is played on home and away basis and by virtue of their win over the Hyderabad team, NEROCA continue to sit atop the league table with 17 points.
Altogether 6 teams are taking part in the league.
With today's win, NEROCA notched up its 5th win in seven matches.
The other two matches ended in draws.
In another match of the day, Southern Samiti downed Lonestar Kashmir by three goals to two and trail behind NEROCA FC with 16 points.
Burney K Karlon of NEROCA did the star turn for NEROCA to man the defence line of the team valiantly and came out with some extremely timely and good moves to nullify the offences of the team from Hyderabad.
Against the run of play, the team from Hyderabad shot into the lead when it found the target in the 8th minute following a defensive lapse on the part of NEROCA.
The match was not without its share of 'drama' as in the 23rd minute of the match, the referee gave the marching orders to head coach of Fateh Hyderabad, Yogesh Maurya following his strong disapproval over a decision of the referee.
The marching orders came just three minutes after NEROCA FC had found the equaliser in the 20th minute following a well taken free kick from atop the penalty box.
Following a foul committed by Fateh Hyderabad's Adam Thomas, the referee awarded a free kick to NEROCA and Thangjam Saran who took the kick delivered a swerving kick that was bang on target.
Buoyed by the equaliser, NEROCA put more men in the attack and their position received a boost in the 27th minute when the referee booked Rinreithem Shaiza for reckless play in the 27th minute.
The goalkeeper of Fateh Hyderabad was also booked in the 39th minute for time wasting.
Lemon break was taken with the score tied.
After the breather, NEROCA played with more purpose and scored a goal in the 55th minute through Singam Subash to wrap up the match 2-1 in their favour.
As per the schedule, NEROCA will meet Delhi United FC on May 19 at Ambedkar Stadium, Delhi.
