Imphal, December 11 2016:
Riding on Thangjoylen Khongsai's second half goal, this year's Winners' Cup champions DM Rao, Sekmai stunned MSL semifinalists NACO, Nambul Mapan 1-0 today in the ongoing 60th CC Meet at Mapal Kangjeibung.
The two sides made a thrilling start although it was DM RAO who dominated possession in the first half.
The Sekmai outfits just could not capitalise on the opportunities and they squandered some scoring chances.

NACO could only settle in the last quarter of the first half and were able to raid the citadels of DM RAO.
However, they could not breach their rivals' defence line.
After the barren first half, DM RAO carried on their momentum and intensified pressure on NACO defenders.
Their efforts yielded as Thangjoylen Khongsai ensured a fine finishing to a ball that was unleashed into NACO goal area by Mayoshing Khongray from the right flank in the 53rd minute.
The goal was enough for DM RAO to book their berth for the quarterfinal.
NACO sent more men in the attacking in their frantic attempt to equalise the goal.
However, DM RAO defence line proved too strong to be breached by the raids of NACO strikers.
As such, none of NACO strikers could script their name in the score-sheet.
