SSU rout FCK; ZFC hold AIM in draw

Southern Sporting Union (SSU), Singjamei routed Football Club Khanglai (FCK), Sadar Hills 2-0 while Zomi Football Club (ZFC), CCpur held Anouba Ima Mangal (AIM), Khabam to a 1-1 draw today in the ongoing 9th Manipur State League organised by All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) under the sponsorship of MLA Kh Joykisan Singh at Mapal Kangjeibung here.
Being a crucial match for the FCK today in order to move out of the relegation zone in case they win the match with a huge margin, the Sadar Hills players put in their best efforts, which in the end turned out to be futile.
The Singjamei side opened their account when Gogocha scored a brilliant goal as early as the 3rd minute of the game.

The first half of the match ended with the scoreline 1-0 in favour of SSU.
The SSU team, looking for an opportunity to patch-up a crushing defeat they suffered in the 49th match of the league, played their heart out not to miss a chance in their remaining league campaign.
The second goal for the SSU came in the 55th minute when Th Roshan converted a brilliant pass from Md Sahidur.
FCK missed a good chance to respond in the last minute of the additional time when Th Bonert's powerful kick hit the goal bar.
N Pritam of FC Khanglai, O Surjit and L Deben of SSU were booked yellow carded in the 38th, 40th and 45th minute respectively.
The match was officiated by Kh Ibungo, Md Altif Ali, L Sanatomba and N Arun as the centre referee, AR 1, AR 2 and match commissioner respectively.
In another crucial and exciting match, Zomi Football Club (ZFC), CCpur drew 1-1 with Anouba Ima Mangal (AIM), Khabam.
From the first whistle, it was AIM all the way and this paid dividends when N Bikramjit converted a well directed free kick from Th Premchand in the 5th minute to take a one goal lead.
The Zomis attempt to find an equaliser in the first half of the game proved futile.
However, the score was equalised when Th Bhandona scored the goal for ZFC.
The match between ZFC and AIM was officiated by Sh Suresh, N Ibungo, K Brojen and L Gokulanand Sharma as the centre referee, AR 1, AR 2 and match commissioner respectively.
