14th Governor's Taekwondo Cup : UTA continue to lead medal tally with 18 gold medals

Imphal, May 11 2018:
UTA, Yumnam Leikai are leading the medal tally of the 14th Governor's Cup Taekwondo Cup 2018 being held at Indoor Stadium Khuman Lampak from May 10 under the aegis of All Manipur Taekwondo Association.
UTA added 10 Gold, 6 six and 7 bronze today to top the tally with 18 gold, 12 silver and 10 bronze medals.
National Sports Academy bagged 5 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medal today to follow UTA in the tally with 8 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze at the end of the second day.

Sub-Junior Boys:
UTA's L Rohit Meitei, N Sanachand and S Rishikanta bagged the gold, the silver and the bronze medal respectively in the U-21 kg category while Lilong's Sheikh Akhtar won a bronze.
RK Leokanta of PTA bagged the gold in the U-25 kg final bout beating N Sadananda of HTA while Keishampat's P Malemnganba and Maximus of Kangla settled for bronze medals.
In the U-29 kg bout of the same category, UTA's Prithiviraj beat P Somorendro of SAI-RC to win the gold while UTA's A Sanjit and Nitish Waribam won bronze medals.
Sub-Junior Girls: .
Th Thoibi of HTA fetched a gold medal in the 18 kg category for sub-junior girls while Th Tannu of the same unit bagged a gold medal in the 22 kg class beating Shene Taorem of PTA while UTA's Ronika and Jiakumari of Nambol won the bronze medals.
In the U-26 kg final, Th Jayajesy of NSA beat SS Abema of Lilong to win the gold medal while RK Henthoi settled for bronze medal.
Cadet Girls: .
L Melody of UTA bagged the gold medal in the U-33 kg girls cadet event while her compatriot, M Priyadarshini won another gold medal in the U-41 kg final round beating Kh Chanchan of PTA.
NSA's Dayashree T and H Sushmaroy of Keishampat unit got the bronze medals.
In the U-47 Kg event, N Reema of NSA bagged the gold medal while L Anjali got the silver medal.
CTI-S's Ghanapriya and SAI-RC's N Nganthoibi won the bronze medals.

L Pradip of SAI-RC won a gold in the U-37 kg event beating PTA's Kebiden while Santosh of SAI-RC and K Prunachandra of Keishampat bagged the bronze medals.
Jackson Y of NSA beat his compatriot Nonglei Khumancha in the U-45 kg final bout to win the gold medal while Robinson Konjengbam of UTA and Anish Saikhom of NSA got the bronze medals.
In 53 Kg Cadet Boys competition, Pobitro (NSA) struck gold beating Bidyasagar (NSA).
The bronze medals went to N Roleen (PTA) and Md Rahmudin (SORA).
In 48 Kg Junior Boys competition, Sh Sushil (NSA) bagged the gold medal overcoming K Irabanta (UTA) while I Rohit (CTI, Sagolband) and Md Debjit (SAIRC) finished with bronze.
In 55 Kg Junior Boys competition, Nongdrenkhaba (UTA) secured gold outplaying B Rahul (SAIRC).
N Johnmart Moyon (UTA) and S Boris (SAIRC) settled with bronze.
In 63 Kg Junior Boys competition, M Lamyanba (SAIRC) won gold, K Sanajaoba (UTA) grabbed silver while N Silhaiba (UTA) and H Sushilkumar (SAIRC) finished with bronze.

In the 44 Kg Junior Girls competition, Y Monita (CTI, Sagolband) claimed gold in a bout against Th Sophia (CTI, Sagolband) while Sakhera Pravin (SORA) took bronze medal.
In the 49 Kg Junior Girls competition, Urmeli Mongsatabam (UTA) captured the gold medal beating N Elizabeth Chanu (CTI, Sagolband) while Puja Das (CTI, Sagolband) and Dayarani Chanu (SAIRC) finished with bronze.
In the 55 Kg Junior Girls competition, Binita Laishram (UTA) overpowered L Soni Chanu (SAIRC) to win gold while Meramayum Kajal (Lilong) settled with bronze.
Senior Girls : .
In the 49 Kg Senior Girls competition, AK Devikanta (UTA) took gold in a bout against K Savitri (UTA).
Roshilalmeng Mouya (IBSA) got the bronze medal.
In the 67 Kg Senior Girls competition, Sonia Maibam (UTA) fetched gold while K Naocha (UTA) settled with silver.
Senior Boys: .
In the 58 Kg Senior Boys competition, S Lalching (UTA) won gold defeating A Rishikanta (Nambol).
The bronze medals went to Kh Rojen (UTA) and S Sanjit (IBSA).
In the 80 Kg Senior Boys competition, S Vikramjit (UTA) got better off Hengunhao Kipgen (UTA) and took the gold medal while W Qawsar (Lilong) settled with bronze.
