11th Manipur State League NEROCA FC still unbeaten, YPHU stun AIM

NEROCA FC, Sangakpham continued their unbeaten run as they notched a narrow 2-1 win over KLASA, Keinou while YPHU, Lalambung stunned reigning champions AIM, Khabam 2-1 to move out of the relegation zone today in the ongoing 11th Manipur State League.
Both teams � league leaders NEROCA FC and KLASA, who desperately needed a win in order to move a tad farther from the relegation zone, started the match in a cagey manner.

Disappointment for KLASA came in the 10th minute as their defender S Herojit scored an own goal giving the lead to NEROCA FC.
Undaunted after conceding the goal, KLASA players pushed hard to find the equaliser.
The NEROCA's lead was short-lived as the Keinou outfits got rewarded for their efforts.
A free kick was awarded to KLASA in the 14th minute.
Nabachandra stepped up to take the free kick and converted to level the score.
The first half ended in a 1-1 draw.
After the breather, both sides played attacking game in their frantic search for the match winner.
S Subash of NEROCA FC slammed home the winner in the 48th minute.
Even as KLASA made attempts to restore parity, they were denied any chances by NEROCA defenders who thwarted the attempts.
NEROCA FC stay on top of the league table with 26 points in 10 matches while KLASA are perched on 10th place with nine points in 10 games.
In another encounter, YPHU, Lalambung stunned reigning champions AIM, Khabam 2-1 .
AIM stay on the third place with 22 points in 10 matches while YPHU jumped to the sixth place with 11 points in 10 matches.
Both sides made an impressive start.
AIM had many chances to score in the first half.
However, due to poor finishing, they could not succeed in converting the chances.
YPHU took the lead in the 43rd minute through P Nilakanta and the first half ended with the Lalambung side taking a 1-0 lead.
In the second half, AIM levelled the score as Md Fiyazuddin slotted home one in the 66th minute.
M Rabindra of YPHU booted home one in the 72nd minute and that eventually earned full points to the team.
