SSU (Singjamei), USA (Khurai) and RACC, Churachandpur recorded contrasting win margin in the second leg matches of the 2nd Manipur State league football tournament as crowd trouble forced abandonment of the TRAU, Tiddim Road and PYC, Phoudel tie at the latter's home turf today.
In the day's other matches, MPSC split points with home side YWC, Thambalkhong after a 3-3 draw while NEROCA, Shangakpham and AMOFA, Moirang settled for a goalless draw at Moirang.
In the tied MPSC versus YWC match the visitors opened through Ksh Kanta half an hour into the game before S Herojit and L Herojit struck two for the Thambalkhong side within a span of six minutes followed by L Indramani's 52nd minute goal to extend the advantage.
However, the police side found the rival nets in the 70th and 71st minutes through N Deshkumar and I nilakumar respectively to pull off the draw.
Hosting SSU at Sekmai, Thangmeiband's NISA took the lead when O Pritam netted in the 28th minute but the lead lasted only till the break as L Jiban levelled for the visitors in the 65th.Oken's 73rd minute strike and Dhananjoy's goal in the 86th minute ensured maximum point for SSU.
Playing at Kakching ground, USA broke the first half stalemate through RK Adhashkumar's 68th minute goal with Th Inaotomba doubling the advantage in the 81st.Even though T Premchand pulled back one for the hosts in the 83rd the USA held onto their slender lead to emerge unscathed.
RACC owed their win over ESU at Churachandpur on goals from Lalramsang (17th), Laltlantel (53rd) and Lalrintluanga (57th) as S Heman scored the consolation goal for the Wangkhei side.
Belligerent home supporters prevented the PYC and TRAU match at Phoudel from completion as local fans disputed a referee decision of awarding penalty to the visiting side five minutes after the lemon break with the score tied at 1-1 .
