Meiraba does it again, wins National School championship

Imphal, April 30 2014:
Fresh from his success in the Aros Cup Youth International Badminton Tournament-2014 held at VIBY J, Denmark where he lifted the championship trophy for both single and double events of under 13 boys, for 12-year old Meisnam Meiraba Luwang of Manipur, it was almost a cake walk when he played in the 59th National School Badminton Championship, 2013-14 organised by Centre Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) at Eklavya Sports Stadium, Agra, UP from April 26 to 30 .

Meiraba, who is already India's reigning No.1 in the under-13 boys' badminton in both single and double events, easily defeated Pavan Krishna of Andhra Pradesh in the final of the single event for Under 14 boys.
Though Pavan dominated the first set by 21/13, in the remaining two sets, Meiraba showed all his skills and prowess in the game which he loved so much and humbled his opponent by 21/13, 21/11 points to lift the championship title.
Meiraba entered the final after beating Devesh Dharmaranjan of Maharashtra by 21/16 point in the first set and forcing his opponent to retire from the match from the 2nd set.
Meanwhile, Manipur Badminton Association has congratulated Meiraba and wished him more success in life.
