Imphal, March 02 2015:
It would be prudent and politically wise to table a Bill on ILPS in the ongoing session of the State Assembly, said Dr I Ibohalbi during zero hour.
Even though the All Political Parties Committee on ILPS has already submitted its report, the Government is dragging its feet when it comes to tabling a Bill in the State Assembly, he decried.
N Biren pointed out that many farmers have been facing serious difficulties after the road which passed through old Koirengei airport was closed following construction of permanent structures by Assam Rifles.
He urged the Government to raise the matter at an appropriate forum and asked AR authorities to remove the permanent structures.
There was a plan of the State Government to take over the old airport by giving some areas of Leimakhong to AR authority in exchange, Biren reminded.
Th Shyamkumar sought the attention of the Government to check whether laying of underground power cables is being done according to guidelines or not.
