Advocacy programme on drugs

Thoubal, July 30 2017:
TI Project, DIC, Wangjing and Rural Voluntary Services, Wangbal under the supervision of NACO and MSACS, organised a one day advocacy programme under the theme ' Drug abuse among youths and its impact on the society and the roles and responsibilities of Civil organisations in combating illicit substances Abuse', yesterday at the hall of Revival Foundation near Wangjing Bazar .
Several volunteers of United Club Against Drug Abuse and Shelter, DAPCU, PO and NETSO took part in the event which was attended by OST Centre, District Hospital Thoubal, Medical Officer Dr Kh Radheshyam, Rural Voluntary Services secretary Babita Sapam and Regional Resource Training Centre (RRTC), Imphal, director Dr A Jayentakumar as the presidium members .
Various discussion on drug abuse and methods to save the youth from drugs were discussed at the event .
According to Babita Sapam, the programme was organised with the aim of eliminating drug abuse from the region.
